ADMISSIONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
POLICY
Admission requires that the prospective student:
• Be provided an application;
• Schedule an interview;
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent;
o OC Health Career College will accept as a recognized equivalent of secondary
education a GED, passing score on the California High School Proficiency Exam,
a DD214 that indicates high school equivalency, a degree issued to the student
that
indicates high school graduation and date, or documentation of completion of a
bachelor’s degree.
OR
o Or a student may take the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (Ability-to-Benefit
Test)
with a passing scores of: Verbal = 200 and Quantitative – 201, the testing fee
is
$50.00;
• Be provided the Catalog; and
• Be provide the School Performance Fact Sheet.
PROCEDURE
Admissions procedures include meeting with a college
representative to review goals, catalog,
School Performance Fact Sheet, and graduation requirements. Each prospective
student must:
• Provide a completed application;
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma, an equivalency document of a
high
school diploma or passing score on the Ability-to-Benefit test;
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent;
• Review the Catalog;
• Review School Performance Fact Sheet, initial, date and sign; and
• Complete an enrollment agreement.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE SERVICES
OC Health Career College does not offer visa services to
prospective students from other countries
or English language services. OC Health Career College does not offer English as
a Second
Language instruction. All instruction occurs in English. English language
proficiency is
documented by prior education, admissions interview and successfully completing
all admission
requirements.
FOREIGN TRANSCRIPT EVALUATION
All foreign transcripts and degrees must be evaluated by a member
of the National Association of
Credential Evaluation Service (NACES). The following is a sample of foreign

ACCEPTANCE OF CREDIT
OC Health Career College does not evaluate nor accept credit by
means of transfer of credit,
experiential learning, challenge examinations or achievement tests.
NOTICE CONCERNING TRANSFERABILITY OF CREDITS AND
CREDENTIALS
EARNED AT OUR INSTITUTION
The transferability of credits you earn at OC Health Career
College is at the complete discretion
of an institution to which you may seek to transfer. Acceptance of the
certificate you earn in the
educational program is also at the complete discretion of the institution to
which you may seek to
transfer. If the certificate that you earn at this institution is not accepted
at the institution to which
you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or all of your
coursework at that
institution. For this reason, you should make certain that your attendance at
this institution will
meet your educational goals. This may include contacting an institution to which
you may seek to
transfer after attending OC Health Career College to determine if your
certificate will transfer.
ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS
OC Health Career College has not entered into any transfer or
articulation agreements with any
other college or university.
